Quick Update

Well, here is the semi-short version of our latest happenings.

First, I graduated!! Well, technically I graduated in December, but I made the walk just a couple weeks ago! It feels so good to have that degree. Unfortunately none of the pictures were great and the camera died before I walked across the stage. Its almost humorous!
So, after graduation, Brian's parents, my mom and occasionally Joel and Lindsay helped move us out of our apartment. The move was SO MUCH WORK! Brian and I are so grateful for all the help we received. We could not have done it alone! I'm not going to lie, I was a little sad to leave it. It has been our home for the first two years (almost) of our marriage!

Brian got his grades back and got straight A's again this semester. He is one of the few who can say that he got a 4.0 in the Jr. Core. I'm so proud of him. He was also asked to be on BYU's team for the Deloitte Tax Competition. He is one of the four top tax students and consequently he was asked! He is really excited about it and will have to spend about 10 hours a week studying the tax code in preparation for the competition in October. He has really been blessed with many great opportunities. Right now, he's spending about ten hours a day studying for the LSAT. Today he told me that his current test scores are "good, but not acceptable." Which means he could probably be accepted with them but not get a scholarship. The good news is that he still has five weeks to study for it!

Obviously we made the trip to South Dakota! It was long, but we're glad to finally be here. Madelyn has had several big moments here. She got a walker and has learned how to go backward, but she hasn't mastered forward yet. She has become quite the little babbler as well. She just chats and chats. On Sunday morning she was having tummy time with Grandpa. She was so upset that when he finally flipped her over she yelled "Mama!" My dad and I both looked at each other but weren't convinced that she had really said it. Then, we went to church and I held her for a minute and then passed her on to my mom. When she got there she got upset and yelled, loud enough for the entire congregation to hear, "Mama!!" I was so happy! Its hard to believe how quickly she's growing!!

Sorry this is so wordy. I'll take pictures and attach them soon!!
